Continuum 6 will be held at ether, located at lower level, 285 Little Bourke Street, Melbourne. Quiet, relaxed and modern, the convention centre is only a five minute walk from the State Library, Queen Victoria retail precinct ('QV'), Bourke Street Shopping Mall and Melbourne's Chinatown restaurants. Melbourne Central, with its shops and city loop train station, is just a block away. Catch a tram down Swanston Street to visit Federation Square and take a stroll along Southbank on the river.
For further information about ether and its facilities, please visit the official website.
ether is a wheelchair accessible venue. As the lift is mainly for staff use, they do ask that a staff member accompany you, but all staff are friendly and accommodating so it becomes no problem at all.
A special room rate will be available for convention members at either the 4.5 star Swanston Hotel, Grand Mecure or the 3.5 star Mercure Hotel Welcome. Both hotels are in the same complex above the convention venue.
All you need to do is quote "Continuum Foundation" when you book to receive 10% off the best available room rate for bookings over any or all nights of the 26th, 27th and 28th February.
The Mecure Hotel Welcome is fully wheelchair accessible, with two accessible rooms per floor. Contact them for further enquiries.
We do understand that accommodation at the above hotels may not be appropriate for all our members due to financial or other constraints. With this in mind, Continuum can recommend the following as possible sources of alternative accommodation:
Travellerspoint: A listing of budget accommodation within Melbourne, including backpackers, motels and B&Bs.
Melbourne.com.au: A listing of special offers at various hotels, motels and B&Bs, often with "last minute" deals.
Please note, these links are provided for information purposes only. Continuum has not entered into special arrangements with any of the above.
