(No need to reserve if you want a black one, just show us your $20 at the rego desk.)
A private Continuum-Edition tour has been arranged of the award winning Old Melbourne Gaol, led by con-goer and sometime Victorian-era Executioner Extraordinaire, Heath Miller.
This is a unique opportunity to explore the imposing interior of the Old Melbourne Gaol at night, when it would normally be left to the restless souls inside. The performance is a creative blend of theatre and historical storytelling, bringing the forbidden secrets of the Gaol to life by candlelight.
Duration: 90 minutes
When: Thursday 13th August, 8.00pm sharp (Otherwise known as The Night Before the Convention)
Where: Russell Street, between Victoria and La Trobe Streets.
Cost: $20 per person (not recommended for under-12s)
To reserve your spot on the tour please email email@example.com
Places on this tour are strictly limited. First in best-haunted.

For those of you who missed our exciting and entertaining trivia night (over 50 people made it, thank you all for you support!), a couple of announcements were made that might be of interest:
First, Continuum 6 will be running on the weekend of 26-28th Febuary, 2010. We're holding it early in the year to give people's pockets plenty of time to recover before Aussiecon 4. For the same reason, we will be trying to keep it relatively inexpensive to attend. Emma "Hespa" Mann has stepped up to chair. Expect guest announcements soon (unless we decide to keep them up our sleeves for announcing at C5)...
As if that wasn't enough, Continuum 7 will be running on the Queen's Birthday weekend (10-13th June) in 2011. Chair and guests to be announced.
Love Jules Verne? Hate Harry Potter? Got a thing for supercolliders?
Get if off your chest! Continuum 5 now taking submissions for discussion panels, presentations and similar. If you want to talk about it, we want to hear about it: firstname.lastname@example.org
Continuum is proud to announce the addition of Narrelle M. Harris to our guest line up. Narrelle is the Australian author of The Opposite of Life and her crime and fantasy novels have been nominated for the Ned Kelly Award and shortlisted for the George Turner Prize. Though born in Newcastle, Narrelle was on the move and has been a teacher of English as far afield as Egypt and Poland. Having seen the light and settled in Melbourne with her husband and her cat, Narrelle spends her time between work and writing.
Berths are available for booking now at special Continuum rates for the Galaxies by Gaslight tour. Please see the Accommodation page for more information.
Continuum 5: Galaxies by Gaslight is currently seeking artworks for the interior of the convention handbook (conbook). If you have anything to suit our 'steampunks in space' theme then please contact Emilly at email@example.com.
Artworks should be in B&W for interior pages, although we are also seeking colour art work for the cover. Continuum is unable to offer monetary payment, but your art would be clearly labelled within the book and you will also recieve a credit and bio on our website.
Thank you to everyone who braved the wild weathers of Melbourne to make it to Relit on Saturday night. It was great to see so many familiar faces and new ones too! If you have any questions about the membership options discussed on the night please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Come along for an evening of socialising, free nibbles, and one or two special announcements in celebration of the upcoming Continuum 5 - Galaxies by Gaslight

Continuum invites you to join us as we slip though the cracks between worlds to an otherplace where no star sets on Her Majesty's Empire – a state of mind circumscribed by fog and fob-watches, coal and corsets, steam and suffragettes; a place where magnetism meets mesmerism and typhoid vies with top-hats – come with us and explore the Galaxies by Gaslight.
