What is this Continuum thing anyway?

Continuum is an annual Melbourne speculative fiction and pop culture convention celebrating creativity across genre and media. From hard-edge science fiction to high-flown fantasy, comic books to film noir, high culture to sub-culture … we sink our teeth into it all!

This year our convention will commence on Friday 4th August and conclude late on Sunday 6th August, 2006. Continuum 4 aims to provide a wide range of traditional SF convention activities as well some new ones, all complementing our theme, Retrorama: the future was then. We are very pleased to have Shaun Tan, Charles Stross and Margo Lanagan as our Official Guests for 2006, who will feature along with numerous other speakers and panellists in a fabulous line up of panels, presentations and special activities.

Continuum Wants You!

Do you have an idea for a panel or presentation you’d like to see at Continuum 4? Even better, do you have an idea for a panel or presentation in which you’d like to be involved? Our 2006 Program is currently in production and our Programmers would love to hear from you. Please email us with your ideas and suggestions and help make Continuum 4 our best convention yet!

And, of course, we are always seeking volunteers to assist with Continuum 4, both prior to and during the convention weekend. If you are a member – or are planning to join – and wish to help out, please write or email our Volunteer Liaison who will contact you with further information.
