Giveaway – Ubby’s Underdogs: Heroes Beginning

Continuum are very excited to be giving away a copy of Brenton E. McKenna’s Ubby’s Underdogs: Heroes Beginning, the second volume in a series of graphic novels set in Broome in the late 1940s.

Ubby is a smart, street-wise Aboriginal girl, leader of a rag-tag gang known as the Underdogs. With its mixture of Australian history and Aboriginal and Chinese mythology, this is an exciting adventure story aimed at upper primary and young adult readers.

Brenton E. McKenna is an Indigenous artist from Broome, Western Australia. He studied visual arts at Goulburn TAFE, and in 2009 he was one of only 20 applicants to be awarded a mentorship with the Australian Society of Authors. Ubby’s Underdogs is inspired by his childhood and his Aboriginal and Malay heritage.

To enter the draw, tweet us @continuum_convention or reply to this post with the name of the publisher behind Ubby’s Underdogs: Heroes Beginning before 8pm, Sunday 17 November. A winner will be selected at random.

This competition is now closed.
